Illinois Eye Institute “Eye Ball 2009” fundraiser

Kevin and Dr. Langner attended the inaugural Eye Ball gala to benefit the Illinois Eye Institute Foundation. This fundraiser supports the efforts on the Illinois Eye Institute, a division of the Illinois College of Optometry (Dr. Langner and Dr. Brandys alma mater). Established in 2008, the Illinois Eye Institute Foundation (IEIF) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the community outreach, charitable programs and advancement of research at the Illinois Eye Institute.

With over 90,000 patient visits each year, the Illinois Eye Institute (IEI) is a leading provider of vision and eye care services in the state, as well as the nation. The IEI provides comprehensive multi-specialty eye care for patients of all ages from the Chicago metropolitan region and beyond, giving superior care regardless of the patient's ability to pay.

Overseeing the fundraising for the gala was one of Dr. Brandys' initial responsibilities as the new Senior Director for Government Relations and Advancement. We were excited to join a large contingent of optometrists from all over Illinois in support of the IEI's efforts. Pictures of the event can be found here.
